How to enter
- Open the competition you want to enter, select Postal route and note the exact Competition ID, closing time and maximum entries per person.
- Write the reference exactly as shown on that competition page — for example COMPETITION ID: 12 — together with your full name, date of birth, full postal address and email address on a postcard or inside an envelope. A telephone number is optional but can help us contact you.
- State that you accept the current WinHive terms and the significant conditions shown for that competition.
- Send one entry request per correctly stamped postal item using ordinary First or Second Class post. Recorded, tracked and special-delivery services are not required.
- Your entry must arrive before the postal deadline shown on the competition page, so allow enough time for delivery.

Same pool, same chance
A valid postal entry receives a normal ticket number, counts towards the same per-person limit and joins the same prize-allocation pool as a paid entry. The entry route is kept for administration, but the winner-selection process does not distinguish between paid and postal tickets.
Instant-win entries
Where an instant-win promotion is active, a valid postal ticket is checked against the same pre-allocated numerical winning positions as a paid ticket. The system does not use the entry route to choose instant winners. Because postal entries must first arrive and be processed, any postal instant winner is contacted without avoidable delay once that ticket is checked.
Read how the instant-win mechanism was independently reviewed.
What it costs
WinHive charges no entry fee for the postal route. You pay only the normal cost of sending the entry by ordinary First or Second Class post. The free route is displayed alongside the paid route so you can choose how you want to enter.
When an entry may be rejected
Late, incomplete, illegible, underpaid, duplicated, bulk, automated or over-limit entries may be rejected. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. WinHive records the reason where a postal entry is marked invalid and handles disputes through the published complaints process.
